We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles as required.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols while driving and during loading/unloading operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with refrigerated trailers and tankers.
- Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading/unloading tasks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
