What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at Swiderski Power Inc.?
Introduction:
Swiderski Power is a premier New Holland tractor, farm equipment & construction equipment dealership located in Whitewater, WI. The Truck Driver is an important part of the dealership team. Sometimes the Truck Driver is the only representative our customers meet from the dealership when delivering a new tractor or skid steer, so we are looking for someone that will represent Swiderski Power well.

- Be home most days. Most truck drivers are not home daily. Most of our deliveries will be in Wisconsin and border states, out and back home style. Sometimes 3 to 4 local trips in one day and sometimes one long trip in one day. We will have an overnight trip from time to time but not often.
- Variety of work: Our business is seasonal. There won't be a delivery scheduled every day. It is nice to take a break from driving all day every day with a variety of other work available around the shop or the equipment lot. If you are a mechanic you will be able to do a combination of shop work and driving. If you are not a mechanic we do have other work available like yard maintenance, snow removal, and general upkeep of the building and grounds, but driving the Semi and the Rollback truck will be your primary role. The secondary role will be there if you are productive and you want the hours.
Job Requirements:
- CDL License
- Experience driving a semi-truck
- Safe driving record
- Drug test is required before your first day
- Know all the rules for truck driving and follow them
- Take care of permits if required
- Ability to load and unload the equipment trailer
- Ability to tie down equipment safely to trailer
- Ability to drive farm or construction equipment on and off trailer
- Positive work attitude
- Hard work ethic (Overtime is 1.5 times pay and 40 hours per week is required during our busy season April, May, and June to get the job done
- Mechanical skills are nice to have, but not required
