Description
We are seeking a versatile energetic team player to work in the front as a cashier, prepare sides as well as wait on tables, and bus tables. This candidate will also assist in back with kitchen prep, dishes etc. As a Café Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the smooth operation of our café.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, such as sandwiches, salads, and pastries.
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment.
- Stock shelves and refrigerators with supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
- Basic food handling and preparation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Ability to reach, bend, and kneel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
