We are seeking a motivated and skilled Overhead Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead doors and related hardware across the MMAC Campus. Your expertise will ensure that doors operate smoothly, meet safety standards, and comply with building codes. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead doors, including garage doors, sectional doors, rolling steel doors, automatic doors and related hardware components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute projects according to design plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
- Conduct electrical work related to door operators, sensors, safety devices, and control systems.
- Ensure all work meets building code requirements and safety standards through thorough inspections and quality checks.
- Heavy lifting of doors and hardware components safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices.
- Collaborate with customers to provide excellent service by explaining repair processes and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in door installation or repair, with knowledge of overhead door systems preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions.
- Knowledge of building code compliance related to door installation and electrical systems.
- Experience working on construction sites or similar environments involving remodeling or handyman tasks is highly desirable.

Pay: $32.96 per hour
