Knuckle Boom Crane Operator

Swenson Welding and Fabrication is a small family-owned business with over 30 years experience in the welding and fabrication industry. We offer full welding and fabrication services on top of structural/miscellaneous iron, custom stairs/railings, and amusement ride repair/rebuild. In addition to our machine shop, our truck fleet is ready to offer mobile welding and material placement services at a moments notice. Duties:

• Operate a boom truck or crane to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment.
• Rig loads for lifting and ensure proper balance and stability.
• Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of materials handled and equipment usage.

Requirements:

• Must be ABC NCCCO or NCCER Certified
• Must have Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
• Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record.
• Must possess the ability to respect and maintain equipment.
• Have mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• ability to pay strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as boom trucks, cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
