Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver bakery products along designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Handle heavy lifting of bakery items and market stock, maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the process.
- Engage with customers at the market by providing excellent service, answering questions, and assisting with product selection.
- Use strong communication skills to upsell items, promote specials, and enhance the shopping experience.
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining organized delivery schedules.
- Assist with merchandising efforts in the market area to ensure products are well-presented and attractively displayed.
- Apply pricing knowledge to accurately process transactions and handle cash or electronic payments confidently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and market space, following safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- You have experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license
- Strong math skills for handling pricing, measurements, and inventory counts accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to build rapport with clients and shoppers alike.
- Ability to upsell products effectively by understanding customer needs and product benefits.
