Sweetwater Campground & Riding Stables is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who enjoys working outdoors, fixing things, and taking pride in keeping a property looking its best.
This is not a job where you'll be standing around waiting for work. Every day is different, and we need someone who enjoys staying busy, solving problems, and working as part of a team. We maintain a family campground with horses, cabins, RV sites, fishing ponds, and outdoor recreation. If you enjoy working outdoors, fixing things, and taking pride in your work, we'd love to meet you.
Pay
$15.00–$17.00 per hour (based on experience)
Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Weekend availability is required.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
- Mowing, weed eating, edging, and general landscaping
- Picking up trash and keeping the campground clean and guest-ready
- Pressure washing buildings, cabins, sidewalks, and equipment
- Painting, staining, and general property improvements
- Basic plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, leaks, PVC repairs, etc.)
- Basic electrical repairs (switches, outlets, lighting, breakers, etc.)
- General maintenance of cabins, RV sites, barns, fences, and common areas
- Operating lawn equipment, tractors, utility vehicles, and basic power tools
- Assisting with special projects around the campground
- Helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests

Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- General property maintenance
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- Landscaping
- Equipment operation
- Small engine repair
- Construction
- Farm, ranch, or campground maintenance
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work outdoors in Louisiana heat and varying weather conditions
- Walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and use power equipment safely
- Stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift
