Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable Snow Removal/Plow Drivers to ensure safe and efficient snow and ice management during winter months. This role involves operating plow trucks and related equipment to clear driveways, parking lots, and roadways. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and familiarity with various maintenance tools and equipment used in snow removal and landscape maintenance.
Duties
- Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and other related machinery safely and effectively during winter storms
- Be available for all snow events and on call 24/7 for potentially long shifts
- Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Clear snow and ice from designated areas such as parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and roadways
- Assist with minor maintenance and repairs on plow trucks and landscaping equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment after use
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal operations
- Assist with landscaping, lawn care, or other grounds maintenance tasks during off-season periods
- Use hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment for various groundskeeping duties
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is a plus
- Familiarity with landscaping tools such as hand tools, power tools, excavators, or hardscape equipment
- Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to operate large vehicles such as trucks equipped with plows or salt spreaders
- Experience with tree care, tree trimming, mowing, irrigation systems, or horticulture is beneficial
- Strong attention to safety protocols when working around construction sites or large machinery
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately
