What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Member - Ice Cream position at Sweets Society LLC?
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working Team Member to join our ice cream shop! You'll be the face of our brand—helping serve delicious treats with a smile, creating a fun and welcoming environment for our guests. In addition to customer service, you may also assist in the kitchen with basic food prep and help with inventory restocking and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet all guests with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Take and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions
- Keep the service area clean, organized, and inviting
- Handle payments (cash and card) using the point-of-sale system
Kitchen Support (as needed):
- Assist with basic food preparation (scooping, topping, blending, etc.)
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and sanitation
- Restock ingredients and supplies during shifts
Inventory & Cleaning:
- Help receive and organize deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the manager
- Keep storage and prep areas clean and tidy
- Perform opening, closing, or mid-shift cleaning tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take on different tasks as needed
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have a positive attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.18 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
