A Yard Supervisor is a key member of our Sweetie Boy Delivers division. In this role, you will oversee daily yard

operations, coordinate vehicle shipments, support drivers, and ensure all port related processes are completed

accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience working in a port environment, a strong

understanding of vehicle logistics, and the leadership skills necessary to keep operations running smoothly.

Duties:

Port Operations & Shipment Coordination

• Prioritize port operations and ensure incoming vehicle shipments are processed efficiently.
• Verify that load information and required paperwork are available in the designated mailbox when
  
  
  

vehicle shipments arrive.

• Print load sheets and required documentation for port processing, including Mitsubishi or other
  
  
  

applicable port processes.

• Ensure drivers and team members receive the correct copies of load sheets and all necessary
  
  
  

paperwork.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure shipment documentation is organized and accessible.
• Communicate with planning and dispatch teams to coordinate loads, resolve issues, and keep
  
  
  

shipments moving according to schedule.

Yard Supervision & Vehicle Inspections

• Oversee daily yard activities and help maintain an organized, efficient, and safe working environment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify existing damage, verify vehicle condition, and document
  
  
  

findings as needed.

• Perform truck audits to verify loads, paperwork, and vehicle information.
• Ensure vehicles are properly staged and prepared for pickup, shipment, or further processing.
• Monitor yard operations to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
• Support team members and drivers with loading assignments and shipment related questions.
  
  
  

Team Leadership & Driver Support

• Provide daily direction and support to yard personnel, lot porters, and drivers.
• Help ensure team members understand their assignments, priorities, and operational procedures.
• Assist drivers with load information, paperwork, and resolving shipment-related issues.
• Maintain clear communication between yard personnel, drivers, planning, and dispatch.
• Promote accountability, organization, and a safety first mindset throughout daily operations.
  
  
  

Cross-Training & Operational Support

• Focus primarily on port operations, shipment processing, and yard supervision.
• Learn additional responsibilities related to Car Coordinator operations as training progresses.
• Provide support with inventory control, vehicle tracking, and general yard coordination when needed.
• Assist management with additional operational responsibilities to ensure efficient daily workflow.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• A valid TWIC card is required.
• Previous experience working in a port environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with port operations, vehicle processing, and port procedures is highly desirable.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising lot porters, yard personnel, or other logistics team members is a plus.
• Background in vehicle shipping, automotive logistics, vehicle processing, assembly line operations, or
  
  
  

car hauling coordination is preferred.

• Hub management or similar transportation and logistics experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling vehicle information, load sheets, and
  
  
  

shipment documentation.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, planning, dispatch,
  
  
  

and management.

• Ability to work in an active yard and port environment, including walking the lot and inspecting vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and maintain a safety first mindset.
• Self motivated, dependable, and capable of managing priorities in a fast paced operational
  
  
  

environment.

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative while supporting daily operations.
  
  
  

Compensation:

Starting at $22/hour, or based on applicable experience and qualifications, with weekly pay via direct deposit.

Schedule:

• Full-time position.
• Daytime hours, with the anticipated schedule to be determined.
• Expected hours may be approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime likely based on operational
  
  
  

needs.
