We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with South Carolina DHHS RBHS regulations, support staff training, and promote service quality across all programs.
Position Summary
The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight of all clinical services within the RBHS program. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supervises licensed and non-licensed staff, supports quality assurance efforts, and ensures that services are delivered with fidelity to best practices and Sweetgrass Renewal Services’ mission.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight for all RBHS services in accordance with SC DHHS, Medicaid policy, and agency procedures.
- Ensure all clinical documentation meets medical necessity, timeliness, and quality standards.
- Conduct or oversee staff orientation, required trainings, and ongoing competency development.
- Participate in development, implementation, and updating of clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision to paraprofessionals, counselors, and interns as required by scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, ethical standards, and RBHS requirements.
- Monitor quality assurance, incident reporting, utilization review, and performance improvement.
- Support staff with case consultations, crisis situations, and treatment planning.
- Represent Sweetgrass Renewal Services in community partnerships and stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate with leadership to expand service capacity and strengthen program operations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
- Current licensure in South Carolina: LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT (required).
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, including work with children/adolescents and families.
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of RBHS service definitions, Medicaid requirements, and evidence-based practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in the office, community, and home settings as needed.

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
