What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Estimator position at Sweetens Concrete Services?
Sweetens Concrete Services is seeking an individual who specializes in municipal slab replacement estimating and project management. He/She will have duties that are included but not limited to:
1. Searching and procuring project opportunities from bid services and new or existing clients.
2. Preparing and submitting estimates, including:
a. Attending pre-bid meetings
b. Procuring subcontractor and vendor pricing
3. Complete pre-construction duties, including:
a. Attending pre-construction meetings
b. Generating and issuing subcontracts
c. Ordering pre-project materials
d. Contract Negotiation/Submittals
e. Generating project in accounting software
f. Holding in-house pre-construction meeting with Superintendent and/or Foreman
g. Layout of project
h. Distribution of notices and/or meeting with residents/businesses
4. Manage project throughout construction including:
a. Maintaining communication with Owner’s representative
b. Maintaining communication with field supervisor
c. Ensuring production and material costs are maintaining budget
d. Measuring completed quantities and invoicing
e. Continuing to order and provide materials
5. Report daily to leadership on all project accounting
