Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently upheld during food handling and service
- Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and resetting tables for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards
- Manage cash handling duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems and providing correct change
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in customer service with excellent communication skills and guest relations expertise
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for cashiering transactions
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including serving protocols, food safety regulations, and hospitality standards
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy service hours
- Prior host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
