Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Second Shift Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust automated processes for optimal performance.
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures to accurately diagnose issues.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Lead or support team efforts in manufacturing maintenance activities while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in electrical work and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring, welding techniques, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their programming or troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
- Basic residential painting skills are advantageous for minor aesthetic repairs around the facility.
