SECOND SHIFT MAINTENANCE TECH

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Second Shift Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring smooth production operations during the second shift. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance will help keep our facility running efficiently and safely. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust automated processes for optimal performance.
• Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures to accurately diagnose issues.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Lead or support team efforts in manufacturing maintenance activities while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in electrical work and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring, welding techniques, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their programming or troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance setting is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
• Basic residential painting skills are advantageous for minor aesthetic repairs around the facility.
