Job Summary: As a Scooper at Sweet Retreat TX, you are the face of our parlor! You'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing our sweet treats with care, and ensuring the shop is always clean and inviting. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet every customer with a friendly, positive attitude and a welcoming smile.
- Assist customers with menu choices, answer questions about flavors, ingredients, and allergens, and offer recommendations.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
- Address customer concerns or complaints courteously and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Ice Cream & Treat Preparation:
- Scoop ice cream, prepare sundaes, milkshakes, and malts according to Sweet Retreat TX's recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of all menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the topping bar and ice cream cases.
- Shop Operations & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, including counters, tables, floors, and equipment.
- Wash dishes, sanitize utensils, and restock supplies as needed throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, which may include cleaning, stocking, and preparing for the next day.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Teamwork & Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak hours.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding inventory, customer feedback, and operational needs.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Previous customer service or food service experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
