Job Title: Production Supervisor FLSA/Grade: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Reports to: Production Manager Department: Production
Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and internal food safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for traceability, sanitation, food safety, and employee training.
- Monitor allergen controls, critical control points (CCPs), and enforce hygiene protocols.
- Conduct or facilitate ongoing food safety and hygiene training for production staff.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of bakery equipment and machinery.
- Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
Technical & Administrative Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Experience with digital recordkeeping systems and food safety documentation tools.
- Ability to prepare production reports, update SOPs, and manage digital forms and logs.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions, especially during summer months.
- Exposure to loud machinery, flour dust, and industrial baking equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and production workflows.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or food production setting is an asset.
