Job Title: Bakery Production Supervisor FLSA/Grade: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Reports to: Production Manager Department: Production
Position Summary:
Sweet Pie Ventures seeks to employ an experienced, responsible individual in our facility who can manage daily production efficiently with our team of approximately 15 employees. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight
- Coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor and maintain production targets, minimizing downtime and waste.
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all production stages.
- Promote a positive, productive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, and internal food safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for traceability, sanitation, food safety, and employee training.
- Monitor allergen controls, critical control points (CCPs), and enforce hygiene protocols.
- Conduct or facilitate ongoing food safety and hygiene training for production staff.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of bakery equipment and machinery.
- Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
Technical & Administrative Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Experience with digital recordkeeping systems and food safety documentation tools.
- Ability to prepare production reports, update SOPs, and manage digital forms and logs.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions, especially during summer months.
- Exposure to loud machinery, flour dust, and industrial baking equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and production workflows.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
