What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher's Assistant position at Sweet Pea Learning Center?

At Sweet Pea Learning Center we value the whole child, this includes superior nutrition, early learning, art projects, and lots of active play. We need someone to help us to create the most educationally stimulating environment as possible.
- 1 part-time opening, 10-20 hours per week
- 1 full-time opening, 30-40 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be easygoing, have a positive attitude and love children!
PREFERRED QUALITIES:
- Have completed a training with a minimum of 2 hours on recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect that is specific to Oregon law
- Completed OCC approved health and safety training
- (If caring for infants) Completed OCC approved safe sleep training as well
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with parents, & staff
- Able to organize information, lists, and organize classroom areas/supplies
Applicants must be available to set a consistent weekly schedule
