What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Float Teacher position at Sweet Pea Childcare, LLC?
Do you enjoy working with young children? Sweet Pea Childcare invites you to work with us as an afternoon part time Float Teacher. We truly value and support our staff who agree that we are a fun, comfortable place to work. We are a nature-based, Montessori-influenced early childhood education center for children ages 3 months to 5 years.
The afternoon Float Teacher is scheduled, Monday - Friday, 8-5. You will work in each of the childcare groups, floating where needed at that time of the day. You'll have opportunities to work together with other teachers as well as cover teacher breaks during their lunch time or during their planning time.
You must be 18 years old with minimum 1 year experience taking care of children. We welcome your skill set and prior childcare experience. As an employee, you deserve consistency and reliability, and that is what we will ask of you too. Each of our teachers is an important part of the team and we rely on their professional commitment to children and their families. Within 3 months of hiring you will need to obtain your CPR certification if you don't already have it. As mandated by the State of Maine for Licensed Childcare Centers, you will have a free background check provided.
