Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and safety standards
• Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
• Package baked items efficiently for sale or delivery, maintaining presentation quality and freshness
• Assist in food production and food preparation tasks to support daily bakery operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and handling protocols
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, utilizing knife skills and baking tools with precision
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting customers with their selections

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry work is preferred; culinary experience is highly valued
• Demonstrated skills in cake decorating, food handling, and kitchen operations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a food industry environment
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in baking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
• Experience in catering or restaurant settings is a plus but not required
