We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and returns
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately
- Assist with stocking shelves, inventory management, and inventory counts
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members when necessary
- Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Handle cashier responsibilities including basic math calculations for transactions
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred
- Experience with merchandising, stock management, and product demos is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service skills
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not required
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and transaction accuracy
