What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Cashier position at Sweet Lab?
Sweet Lab Boba Tea & Desserts is currently seeking a Barista/Cashier to join our team.
Candidate must be hard working, have excellent customer service/communication skills, is a fast learner and has the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Hours of operation are from 12 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Sunday. Candidate must have open availability, as he/she will be required to work a varying shift, 5 days per week. Working weekends is also a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of excellence in customer service at all times
- Prepare/serve drinks and desserts according to store menu and standard operating procedures
- Cook boba
- Brew tea
- Dishwashing
- Cash register operation
- Scoop ice cream
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Follow proper operating procedures in performing assigned duties
- Maintain store cleanliness at all times
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Positive, outgoing and professional attitude
- Extraordinary customer service skills
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times regarding all propriety information such as sales, financials, recipes, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow instructions and take feedback constructively
- Have Food Handler Certification or obtain one within first 30 days of employment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to manage stress appropriately
- Ability to maintain punctuality and attendance
- Professional appearance
- Fast learner
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have at least 1 year of experience within the food or beverage industry
- Barista experience preferred
