Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting via phone
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations accurately
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environment is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professionalism
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
