Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical history review, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver a wide range of dental services such as fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment options clearly to patients and team members.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Operate dental imaging equipment accurately for diagnostic purposes while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and medical records management.
- Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to medical and dental practice standards, including infection control and privacy laws.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties to deliver cutting-edge care.
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate Dentist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, medical imaging, and anatomy knowledge essential for safe practice.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and other complex treatments confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
