Prep Cook at Sweet Caroline's

Sweet Caroline's in Ames, IA is looking for one cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working. We are looking for someone with open availability Sunday through Saturday for a 25-35 hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking: cleaning, peeling, chopping, slicing, ect.
• Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards and in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized station: sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, organizing supplies, ect.
• Keeping station stocked and in proper FIFO rotation by time and date
• Collaborate and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a cook in a high volume restaurant or equivalent setting
• Familiarity and knowledge with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and health/sanitation food practices
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 1 year kitchen experience or equivalent (preferred)
