What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Sweet Caroline's?
Sweet Caroline's in Ames, IA is looking for one cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working. We are looking for someone with open availability Sunday through Saturday for a 25-35 hour work week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking: cleaning, peeling, chopping, slicing, ect.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards and in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized station: sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, organizing supplies, ect.
- Keeping station stocked and in proper FIFO rotation by time and date
- Collaborate and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a cook in a high volume restaurant or equivalent setting
- Familiarity and knowledge with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and health/sanitation food practices
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 1 year kitchen experience or equivalent (preferred)
