Job Title: Front Desk Clerk
Classification: Non- Exempt
Reports To: Elston Inn Manager
Job Summary/Objective: To provide excellent customer service and support as needed to the front desk of the Elston Inn.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours: Full time with benefits. Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- N/A
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Process guest reservations by phone, in person and by email.
- Complete daily paperwork for night audit when appropriate.
- Assist housekeeping with inventory, laundry, inspection of guest rooms, and other tasks as needed.
- Answer and direct calls received on the college line to appropriate depts./individuals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail / accuracy
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitality or comparable customer service position
- College Degree
- Computer experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Work Environment: Mostly indoors, some outside work may be required as needed
Physical Demands:
- Requires full range of body motion, including reaching, stooping, kneeling, and walking.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Requires standing/walking for extended periods of time, including stairs.
