Job Summary
Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is looking for a safety-focused and dependable CDL B Driver - Street Sweeping (Nights) to join our Nashville team. In this role, you will operate JetVac trucks and specialized equipment to perform essential sewer and stormwater system maintenance. From cleaning catch basins and sewer lines to supporting municipal and commercial projects, your work directly contributes to cleaner and safer communities.
This position is ideal for CDL drivers who enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that tackles challenging but rewarding projects. If you are motivated, reliable, and open to overtime or travel, we would like to meet you.
Location: Hermitage, TN
Schedule: 6:30AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday
Starting Pay: $24 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate JetVac trucks and equipment to clean catch basins, sewers, and stormwater systems
- Safely drive and operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations
- Work as part of a crew, pulling hoses, managing flow control, and ensuring quality results
- Accurately complete daily paperwork, job tickets, and required documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing service needs and reporting issues promptly
- Assist with troubleshooting, minor equipment repairs, and coordinating service needs
- Keep vehicles and job sites clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards
- Support team members and take on additional tasks as needed
Job Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
- Clean driving record and current DOT Medical Card
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and pull hoses up to 500 feet
- Familiarity with DOT safety regulations and procedures
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to work overtime and travel as required
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Physical capability for standing long periods, bending, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable working around wet or humid environments, confined spaces, noise, fumes, and wastewater exposure
