Job Description and Hours
Hiring a part-time office cleaner for an evening schedule for 16 hours per week to work on a regular basis as follows:
- Mondays/Fridays: 5pm to 7pm in Gadsden
- Tuesdays/Thursdays: 5pm to 11pm in Gadsden (2 locations)
You will be working at 2 different office locations: one in Gadsden all 4 shifts and another in Gadsden only on Tuesdays and Thursdays with hours provided such that travel time is paid for. Additional shifts may be made available after your first 30 days of employment. You will be performing basic cleaning tasks and will follow a simple checklist, which will typically include:
- Vacuuming with a backpack vacuum
- Emptying trash
- Mopping
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms
This position begins work as soon as it is filled. Successful candidates are people who reliably arrive to work on time and require little supervision, and we reward our cleaners by paying them some of the highest wages in the industry while offering benefits and bonuses.
Pay & Benefits
All new employees regardless of their position in our company make a minimum $14/hr, including during their paid training period. Employees receive regular raises based on time in the company, trainings completed, and customer feedback.
- 0-30 days: $14 per hour paid training
- 31 days: $14 per hour
We pay weekly on Fridays via direct deposit and award all bonuses in cash.
After 180 days of employment, full-time employees (36 hours) earn Paid Time Off and are eligible for benefits including insurance and profit sharing bonuses.
Working Environment
This position does NOT involve “heavy” cleaning (regular use of machines or regular cleanup of grease or oil). Rather, your work will be limited to the above-described regular janitorial tasks on the customer’s property as follows:
- 100% of shift time will take place in interior offices, lobbies, break rooms, and bathrooms that are air-conditioned
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to 6 hours per shift
- No lifting required beyond 35 pounds
- Work polo shirt and cleaning apron provided, closed shoes and pants required
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have at least one previous, verifiable work reference
- Must be able to pass a felony criminal background check
- Must be able to complete paid on-the-job training
- Must be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Must have reliable transportation and a smart phone with data to clock in/out
