Sweeet! Retail Sales Associate / Keyholder

We welcome part or full time associates with an opportunity for pay increase to key holder.

MUST be able to work weekends. MUST be over 18.

Hours are available every day from 11am-7pm. You MUST be able to work all of these hours. Send your resume and tell us about yourself!

We are a small, local, family owned business that is entering our 14th year of business. We offer paid training at $12/hour with pay reviews every three months with $1 raises each time if performing well and opportunity to become a key holder at 15/hour. We offer retirement options, paid vacations, store discounts and weekly pay.

We need a great attitude, willingness and ability to learn and people who like to be actively working and can look around and see what needs to be done and do it!

We will only hire 18 for these positions. We are looking for people that are very active, always willing to unload pallets of soda and candy, stock, carry cases of soda up and down stairs (basement storage), constantly clean, help customers and check out. There’s not much sitting around here!

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service from the moment customers enter until they leave our establishment. We need someone with a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.

You will be responsible for running cash register, store appearance and stocking. Must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with customers and fellow workers.

Required skills include, but are not limited to: operating register, interacting with customers, maintaining appearance standards, and the overall successful operation of Sweeet!

We are looking for a person who can work independently under guidance.

Local Owners are in store daily and always available via text, email and phone.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, help and answer questions.
• Make sure store looks excellent at all times. Clean!
• Sell candy, soda, toys and clothing on POS system.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude while on duty.
• Accurate cash sales and cash handling, including register closeout.
• Inform manager upon getting low on any inventory.
• Opening and closing duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on customer service.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Loves cleaning and organizing.
• Must have outgoing personality
• Must work well under pressure and deadlines
• Must have the ability to make decisions quickly and communicate effectively.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and stressful situations simultaneously.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs, lift 40 pounds over your head several times daily and stand for long periods of time.

• This is a very physically demanding job. We start everyone out as stocking sodas and candy so they can learn where everything is and what the products are. As we have over 3000 items, it is imperative that staff knows our products. Since we sell a lot of small items, we are constantly getting deliveries of 1 to 3 pallets of candy and/or soda and unloading and storing that.

Is that something you can do and are willing and interested in? Can you carry 50 pound boxes of soda up and down steps? What have you done in the past that would demonstrate this ability?
