We're seeking an Electrical Controls Designer who enjoys ownership, collaboration, and solving real-world engineering challenges—from concept through commissioning.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop electrical control systems for highly customizable industrial machinery and automated systems.
- Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs
- Specify PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motor controls
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering, production, and customers
- Support installation and startup with troubleshooting and design support
- Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, CE and OSHA standards
- Continuously improve designs for performance, reliability, and efficiency
What You Bring
- 3–7 years of electrical controls design, automation or related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD tools)
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical standards and best practices
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and manage multiple projects
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to Have
- Industrial networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET)
- Exposure to SCADA, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 trends and emerging automation technologies.
