This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY, for a Financial Aid Counselor. The Financial Aid Counselor will assist prospective and current students with navigating financial aid processes, including evaluating eligibility for Title IV funds. The role involves providing financial counseling, interpreting regulations, maintaining compliance with federal and institutional policies, and collaborating with the enrollment team to support student success. This position requires regular interaction with students, families, and staff to ensure a positive and informed financial aid experience.
- Proficiency in Finance and Student Financial Aid processes, with knowledge of Title IV policies preferred
- Strong skills in Customer Service and communication, with the ability to provide support and guidance to students and families
- Experience with Enrollment Management systems and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site educational environment
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, education, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in higher education or financial aid administration is a plus
