What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Bakery Assistant position at Swedish Girl Bakery?
Duties
- Assist with the clean up process of various dishes & tools used in baking processes.
- Maintain clean bathrooms, wash floor mats, take out trash as needed.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Restock ingredient containers, unpack supply deliveries, and place items back in their proper places.
- Willing to work with bakers as a team member assisting in rolling cookie dough, dipping items in chocolate, and other similar tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment. (1-3 years)
- Familiarity with managing allergens and keeping tools & equipment cross-contamination free.
- Current Serv-Safe Food Safety Certification.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and food handling practices.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers.
