We are currently seeking diligent and attentive individuals to fill the role of Waste Treatment Operator for our 2nd/3rd shift starting at $18.75/hr. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational excellence of our waste treatment processes and conducting salt spray testing.
Shift Timings:
- 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11 PM- 7 AM
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Monitor and manage the operation control panel, ensuring all systems function correctly and efficiently
- Conduct regular calibration of PH Meters and maintenance of probes
- Oversee tank levels and maintain communication with the metal finishing department
- Diligently document operations and maintain logs at regular intervals
- Perform physical checks of the neutralization reactor and clarifier, ensuring optimal performance
- Manage waste treatment processes, including the operation of the oil skimmer and proper handling of waste materials
- Uphold general housekeeping standards and adhere to scheduled preventative maintenance routines
- Conduct titrations of process chemistry and coating weight analysis, with the ability to prepare black oxide batches
- Strong computer proficiency is preferred
- At least one year of relevant experience is desirable, with a Class K license or the commitment to obtain it within one year of joining
- Physical capability to lift up to 40lbs
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
- Availability to work weekends is a must
