Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant role focuses on cash application and core general accounting activities, including processing customer receipts, daily cash processing and reconciliation, general ledger entries, journal entries, and preparation of accurate financial records and reports. The role also supports period-end close, budgeting/forecasting, and compliance with internal policies and audit requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cash application activities, including processing customer receipts and daily cash processing and reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate posting and balancing of cash transactions .
- Execute general accounting tasks such as journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and report preparation to support the monthly closing process.
- Review records of accounts and input entries into appropriate accounts, maintaining accuracy and conformance to standards.
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, production/packaging reports, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Examine accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Maintain and file financial records using current technologies and create forms and manuals for accounting and administrative purposes as needed.
- Support periodical reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and assist the Controller with timely reporting to headquarters.
- Support the annual audit process by ensuring timely collection of requested information; uphold trustworthiness, confidentiality, and compliance in all matters.

Qualification
- A university degree, college diploma, or associate degree in accounting.
- Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience.
- Attention to detail; ability to multitask and meet deadlines; excellent communication skills; reliability.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment using standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines).
- Full-time; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional after hours for month-end closing or budget deadlines.
