Elementary Classroom Teacher - One Year Only

Swanton Elementary School is seeking a student-centered Elementary Educator to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a one year only position, focusing in the lower grades. The preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience with current best practices, technology integration skills, differentiation, and inclusion. They will be proficient in the following: - Deep knowledge and understanding of the Common Core Standards (CCSS). - Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. - Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, creative and collaborative skills. - Commitment to the success of ALL students, and ability to understand and teach to the various learning styles of students with a whole child focus. - Ability and enthusiasm to effectively engage students and help them to own their learning and have opportunities to explore their learning interests. The candidate should have knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) and experience in Professional Learning Communities (PLC). This person will be responsible for being an active member of a team and must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary manner. Competitive union position with a salary range of $51,750 - $92,250, based on experience and education.
