What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Production Coordinator position at Swanson Studio?
About the Position
The Post-Production Coordinator is a junior, growth-oriented role for someone looking to build their career in commercial photo and motion post-production while gaining experience across the broader studio environment.
Reporting to the Head of Post-Production, this position supports the day-to-day coordination of still and motion post projects, including project setup, asset management, scheduling, freelancer coordination, client feedback, deliveries and general department organization.
As a small, highly collaborative studio, we operate without rigid silos. While post-production will be the primary focus of this role, the Post-Production Coordinator will flex across Production and general studio operations as workload requires. Depending on the day, that may mean helping coordinate assets for a retouching project, supporting production logistics for an upcoming shoot, receiving and organizing client product, or helping ensure the studio is stocked, organized and ready for clients and crew.
We value people who take ownership of both the work and the space around them. At Swanson, no task is beneath anyone if it supports the team, the production or the client experience.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who already has some exposure to commercial photography, motion, production or post-production and wants to develop a deeper understanding of how projects move from capture through final delivery. This role requires working on-site daily at our NW Portland studio.
