What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Accounts Payable Clerk, Legal Services (Onsite) position at Swanson, Martin and Bell?
Swanson Martin & Bell, LLP is looking for a skilled Junior Accounts Payable Clerk, responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable team with processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the AP team with processing and paying between 1200-1600 invoices per month
- Assisting the AP team with reconciling and coding monthly credit card statements
- Print A/P checks weekly
- Respond to queries from vendors and staff accordingly
- Obtain payment approval and coding from attorneys
- Assisting the AP team with preparation and filing 1099s
- Track unclaimed property and follow up with payee as needed
- Any other project(s) as assigned by the Controller
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable. Law firm experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
- Anticipates work needs and follows through with minimum direction, and takes responsibility to follow up on own initiative.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
- Works effectively within a team environment, as well as independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and partners.
- Prioritizes the organization of workflow and uses time efficiently.
Compensation
$30.22-$32.97 per hour DOE
