Job Summary
The Disaster Recovery Case Manager provides trauma-informed, person-centered support for residents affected by disaster. This includes conducting assessments, developing recovery plans, and connecting clients with vital resources. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' post-disaster needs
- Develop and manage individualized recovery plans
- Assist clients in accessing housing, healthcare, benefits, and employment services
- Provide emotional support and crisis management during high-stress situations
- Use motivational interviewing techniques to empower and engage clients
- Collaborate with local, regional, and federal partners to build client support networks
- Maintain accurate, confidential case records and documentation
- Advocate for equitable and culturally competent access to services
Skills
- Experience in case management, social work, crisis response, or related fields
