Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Executive Chef role based in Encinitas, CA with willingness to travel around San Diego County to multiple locations. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations, from menu development and kitchen management to training and leading kitchen staff. Responsibilities include maintaining food quality, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, and collaborating with management to meet business goals. The Executive Chef will also play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Culinary expertise in menu development, food preparation, and presentation
- Proficiency in kitchen management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training
- Strong understanding of food safety practices, compliance with health regulations, and inventory management
- Leadership and team-building skills with a focus on fostering a positive work culture
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Experience in high-volume restaurant kitchens preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is desirable but not required
