SWA’s Houston studio is looking for Landscape Designers with 3-5 years of professional experience in design leadership, construction documentation, project coordination, and BIM/Revit to join our award-winning team of landscape architects, architects, urban designers, and planners.

This role is ideal for landscape designers who understand how ideas move from the page to the built environment and combine strong design thinking with technical rigor and project coordination skills.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute across all phases of the design process, from concept design and visualization to detailing, construction documentation, and construction phase services
- Support project management and coordination, including schedules, deliverables, and consultant collaboration
- Translate design intent into clear, buildable drawings and BIM/Revit models
- Work closely with project leaders and multidisciplinary teams on projects of varying scale and complexity
- Take ownership of tasks and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced studio environment
Who You Are
- You have 3–5 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture or multidisciplinary design practice
- You bring a proven portfolio demonstrating built or well-developed work
- You understand the full landscape architecture process—and how design excellence survives real-world constraints
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
- You communicate clearly and confidently—visually, verbally, and in writing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Strong design, technical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- 3D modeling/rendering tools (Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape)
- AutoCAD
- Grasshopper and GIS experience a plus
