Lounge Barback

Scope of Position:

Ensure that the lounge is stocked with proper equipment, an adequate supply of liquor and free of debris so that the Bartenders and Lounge Servers have the supplies needed to perform their jobs.  Also, ensure a smooth flow of operations in the lounge.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

Education & Experience:

•    High School diploma or equivalent.

•    Two years’ experience in Hospitality/Restaurant or a related field. 

•    TIPS and Food Handlers Card Required 

Physical Demands:

•    Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.

•    Twist, bend, lift, reach, handle and feel to efficiently handle glasses, dishes, napkins, bus pans, garbage, etc.

•    Lift and carry heavy bus pans, ice bins and trays weighing approximately fifty (50) pounds.

Required Capabilities

•    Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written from with guests and associates so as to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service as required

Responsibilities may include any and all of the following: 

•    Stock ice bins with ice as needed throughout the shift.

•    Know how to efficiently operate and assemble glass washer.

•    Know the proper way to cut garnishments for drinks.

•    Know how to set up accurate requisitions for supplies in the lounge.

•    Stock adequate supply of glasses to last throughout shift.

•    Check and empty garbage cans frequently.

•    Wipe down bar areas and tables as needed.

•    Sweep the floors when needed.

•    Stock and clean liquor room.

•    Set up the food and happy hour displays; replenish food as needed and break down the happy hour tables when the function is finished.

•    Safely handle knives to cut required garnishes.

•    Remove bus pans from the lounge when necessary.

•    Assist the Bartenders and Lounge Servers when needed.

•    Help decorate the lounge for special promotions.

•    Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

•    Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them. 

•    Attend all training/meetings as required by management.

•    Perform other duties as requested by management.
