Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer, eCommerce Applications to join our dynamic engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on both front-end, back-end development, building scalable, efficient, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have a passion for clean code, problem-solving, and designing modern web applications.
Job Responsibilities
Front-End Development
- Build and maintain responsive, performant, user-centric interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience building and deploying iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Collaborate with eCommerce team to implement design specifications and improve user experience.
- Apply best practices in accessibility, performance optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
Back-End Development
- Design, develop and maintain backend applications (Node.js and .NET 8 ).
- Integrate with third party APIs/services using Rest API, Graph QL, webhooks etc.
DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or similar.
- Deploy and monitor applications on AWS.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project managers.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
You Bring (requirements, preferred skills):
Required Skills
- 4 years of experience as a full stack developer with a strong portfolio or track record.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and .NET 8 or Java 8 .
- Experience with the Shopify ecosystem (APIs, Liquid templates, apps, etc.)
- Strong understanding of responsive design, event-driven architecture, CQRS and async design patterns.
- Experience working with RESTful API and webhooks, any type of integration patterns with third party services/APIs.
- Strong experience with relational databases like MS SQL or similar.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services. Hands on experience is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing.
- Experience with any authentication platforms (e.g., Okta, Auth0, AWS Cognito), authentication protocols such as SSO and JWT.
- Excellent knowledge of: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, with any frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related quantitative field.
Preferred skills (nice to have)
- Experience in the eCommerce domain.
- Experience or Familiarity with the React/Remix framework.

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
