5–6 Days Per Week | Long-Term Live-In Position
SVNA Home Assistance is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly experienced Live-In Caregiver to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a client in Lakeville, CT.
We are looking for an individual who understands the importance of consistency, safety, patience, and building a trusting relationship with the person in their care.
Our goal is to find someone who can commit to a consistent 5- or 6-day-per-week live-in schedule, providing stability, companionship, and exceptional care in the comfort of the client's home.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior live-in caregiving experience is REQUIRED.
Must be able to provide professional references from previous live-in caregiving positions, preferably from former clients or their families.
Must have hands-on experience caring for individuals living with dementia.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in safe transfer techniques, mobility assistance, and fall prevention.
Must understand dementia-related behaviors and be comfortable providing reassurance, redirection, and support.
Must have experience assisting with personal care and activities of daily living.
Must be patient, compassionate, reliable, and attentive to the client's changing needs.
Must be able to commit to a consistent live-in schedule of 5–6 days per week.
Must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and respect for client dignity and privacy.
IMPORTANT: Previous live-in caregiving experience, verifiable live-in references, dementia care experience, and demonstrated competency in safe transfers are mandatory requirements for this position.
