Job Description: Excellent benefits including salary packaging Fitzroy location Friendly and supportive team environment Full Time, Fixed Term until October 2027 About the Role The Pathology Billing Team Leader oversees end to end billing operations, drives team performance, and ensures accurate, timely revenue processes. You will also work on exciting projects, including taking a lead role in the implementation of a new billing system (PBRC) from workshop participation through to user acceptance testing. Day to day, you might undertake the following tasks: Lead daily operations Manage specialised billing enquiries and processes Generate, review and distribute key weekly and monthly reports Oversee monthly close processes Coordinate team workflows, distribute debt collection tasks, monitor performance metrics, and facilitate weekly team meetings and continuous process improvement Participate in projects Classifications for this position will range from HS4 to HS29 - $87,003 - $96,148. Your Contribution Proven experience in medical billing, practice management or medical administration Strong understanding of Medicare and private health fund billing processes Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. The Billing Team operates within the Pathology Management section and comprises 7 FTE. It is responsible for all invoicing, payment receipts and debt recovery associated with pathology testing.
