To assist in the management of patients attending the structural heart disease clinics and to undertake teaching and research duties within the Cardiology Unit To assist with coronary angiography, coronary interventions (PCI) and cardiac catheterisation as required. Attend the Structural Heart Disease Clinic and assist in the management of patients referred to the Structural Heary Disease Clinic To assist with clinical care of allocated patients and participate in setting the standards for high quality clinical practice within the Department. Use resources in a responsible manner having regard to patient priority and need. Ensure that there is prompt communication with other relevant clinicians and health care providers. Other clinical duties as directed by the Director of Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12) Pro rata for part-time Full Time, Fixed Term. The echocardiography laboratory performs transthoracic, stress and transoesophageal echocardiography in hospital inpatients and outpatients using state of the art digital echocardiography equipment and using new techniques such as contrast, 3D echocardiography and myocardial deformation assessment. Echocardiography is also critical for supporting the structural heart disease program. In addition, the hospital provides cardiac MRI and CT coronary angiography services.
