Group Fitness Instructor
Svetness Personal Training is currently recruiting for energetic fitness professionals with a passion to lead group fitness classes to various adult and youth members for a large church located in BALTIMORE, MD.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Lead group fitness classes for large church in Baltimore that has the necessary large rooms for group classes.
- Develop exercise plans for program participants
- Exercises should be at the beginning to intermediate level
- Record and maintain attendance records using the Mindbody application via your mobile device
- Act as a Primary Responder in case of injury, accident, or illness
- Plan and implement programs in accordance with the goals and policies of the church social director
- Coordinates activities which are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate
- Enforce rules and policies
- Adhere to the guidelines of the church community
- The classes that will. be taught are:
- Cardio Fusion Monday and Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. and Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
- Total Impact (HIIT) Monday and Wednesday at 6:45 pm.
- Walk for Wellness Monday and Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
- Core and Cardio for Teens (13-17) Tuesday at 6:30 pm
- Youth Fitness (8-12) Tuesday at 6:30 pm
- Yoga Tuesday 6:45 pm
- Pilates Wednesday at 6:45 pm
Candidates are welcome to teach more than 1 type of class if certified or well experienced in teaching the class.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience leading and teaching the specific group fitness class
- General knowledge of exercise training and leadership, including basic anatomy, physiology, and exercise principles
- Physically fit in order to demonstrate all phases of the exercises.
- Mentally alert to recognize potential hazards and accidents..
- Personal trainer certification such as NASM, ISSA, etc. or certification in specific group fitness class
- Current CPR, AED certification
Other Requirements:
- Must always be on time for classes
- Reliable transportation to reach the community
- Previous group fitness teaching with a minimum 1 year experience
- Outgoing and hardworking individual with a love for health and fitness
