Live-In Staff/Roommate Needed – Pensacola Area
Starting Pay: $750/week (with potential raise after 90 days)
We are seeking a live-in support staff/roommate for a young lady in the Pensacola area. She is independent, enjoys going to the gym, shopping, hanging out at the mall, and works a regular job.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing verbal reminders for her to take her medication
- Assisting with taking her dog outside for bathroom breaks
- Helping with transportation to and from work as needed
- Engaging with her in activities she enjoys (gym, shopping, mall trips, etc.)
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants a relaxed, supportive living situation. The staff member will have the flexibility to work another job if they choose, as long as they are available for the young lady’s basic daily support needs.
Compensation:
- $750 per week to start
- Potential raise after 90 days based on performance

Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide patient observation to monitor health and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring compliance with health regulations and individual care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development within group home settings.
- Support individuals in memory care routines, helping them maintain cognitive functions through structured activities.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses and social workers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Background in social work, nursing home care, or group home settings is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills for patient care and the ability to recognize changes in behavior or health status.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
