OPS Land Management Technician
The Land Management Technician is a field-based position located out of Live Oak, Florida. District-owned vehicles and equipment will be provided. The position assists with all aspects of land management in order to execute the District’s land management plan and corresponding management goals and objectives.
Job Duties Include:
- Execute hands-on field operations and site maintenance, utilizing hand tools to install, repair, and maintain gates, infrastructure and signage.
- Assist with the implementation and oversight of targeted land management plans, effectively balancing ecological preservation and public use for long-term sustainability of District lands.
- Utilize District GIS resources to accurately map and collect vital data.
- Assist with monitoring and coordinating with contractors who perform land management work.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers’ license.
Salary:
$15. per hour, up to 28 hours per week
