What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Custodian position at Sutton Village School?
Sutton School seeks two part-time, full year Custodian. This job includes customary cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, restocking bathrooms, etc. Minor maintenance, including repairs and painting, moving furniture during the summer, assistance with snow removal in the winter, etc. Additional custodial duties include securing the building, preparing for special events, directing traffic at times and operation of typical custodial equipment such as floor machines. We maintain a collaborative team environment where flexibility and cooperation are expected. Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with colleagues, staff, and students are a must. The pay range for this position is $17.21-$23.57/hr.
Sutton School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast, Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
